Kirri Liepins has enjoyed several years of experience in the music and entertainment industry. Kirri graduated from the Hunter Institute of Technology in 2003, receiving her Advanced Diploma in Music Business. During her studies she joined the coordination team for the A-Major Music Expo, which grew in the following year to become Newcastle Music Week. Using both her training and her natural ability, both events were a great success and attracted many new audiences from around Australia and the world to this thriving city.
Her previous roles include: Freelance Journalist for U-Turn Streetpress; Members Consultant for Talent Online; Production Assistant for Australia-Pacific Entertainment.; Newcastle & Regional NSW State Representative for the Thirsty Merc street team and Publicity Assistant for Circle Music and 456 Records. Kirri currently coordinates the official Jon Stevens street team and manages the Myspace profiles of both Jon and Noiseworks.
Kirri is also a former member of the popular performing troupe The Lovelorn Living Party, contributing as a performer, a backstage 'ninja' and a 'roving character'. Their pièce de résistance, Signor Piggy Wig's Bohemian Love Theatre, is a highlight of the annual Peats Ridge Arts & Sustainability Festival.
In July 2009 Kirri became a Senior PR Committee Member of the Heal The World Foundation.
Kirri is currently based in Newcastle, Australia. She loves live shows, comedy, harassing her pets and tacky 80's television.
